the best when you least expect it.

Like what my darling always says, when you don’t expect something and you get it at the end, you double your happiness. In contrary, when you put high expectation to get something, even though you get it at the end, you are just merely happy and won’t be ecstatic.

So the formula to happiness according to my darling:

No expectation = high happiness

That’s why he’s so happy over the weekend. What made him so happy? Blog later…of course, it’s something about his new gadget…Haha!

You won’t believe me when I’m telling you that I only have 5 more weeks to go before the semester comes to an end. I can’t believe it myself too, to be honest. However, it’s much expected. Every beginning has an ending. The ending of this semester will bring the beginning of holiday. The ending of the holiday will bring the beginning of another semester. Hehe!

Okay, let check my progress so far in my study. I’m very disappointed with my first midterm result. Can’t blame anyone but myself for my worst result. Lucky for me, the lecturer is going to give us second chance on that midterm. A little bit relief that I have second shot for that and I will do my best this time. I promise. Cross my heart (just like in the movie UP…hehe). My midterm result for SISP is still unknown but I was quite confident that I did good. Very sure I did better than the other midterm. I have completed one assignment for SISP and part of the group assignment for database. There is a subnet test this Thursday and second shot for midterm plus practical lab test next Wednesday. I still have the research project for SISP not yet finished and network lab test not yet tested though the simulation works. The final exam timetable is out. My finals will be on early November, which after that signifies the end of my semester and the beginning of my holiday.

I can’t say I’m looking forward to the end of semester or even the holiday because to achieve the end there’s a lot of hard work still in between. That’s what I dreaded now…Sighhhh…..

The Raya holidays passed in a daze. We started off with attending our ex-college mate’s wedding dinner on Saturday night nearby our home. This friend of ours is also my darling’s childhood friend where he’s the good friend with her brother. In her wedding, we were surprised that many old faces – old college mates turned up for the dinner. Seriously, I never expected the dinner to be our reunion. Haha! And we had great time catching up old good times. The best wedding/reunion dinner ever.

I spent nearly the whole day at home enjoying my sofa day and watching movies on Sunday. We had breakfast with family the next morning and dinner at night. I couldn’t really remember what I did in between meals, probably lazing somewhere around the house. Hehe! Only on the last day of the holidays, I spent hours completing part of my IR assignment. I have finally completed my part of the literature review. Hooray to that and I thought I could never finish it off. While working on it in my sister-in-law’s room, my darling took a nap on her bed while she was surfing the net. I made two cups of coffee for myself and my sister-in-law and we enjoyed our time together. Later, I watched the nephew, my sister-in-law and my darling played a game of monopoly. I didn’t join them until much later after I finished my assignment and to take my darling’s place. I bought a lot of land for him but at the end he lost all his money to his sister and went bankrupt. Haha! We really had a good time together.

After the game ended it was already 5 p.m. The three of them together with the father and younger brother all went for a walk around Melawati hill while I was using the opportunity to do some yoga practice at home. With his new added lens, he’s happily capturing photos during that walk.

A happy family enjoying the nature…the younger brother and sister, the nephew and the father…

I love our neighborhood where we can always see green…

What so special about this photo? That’s our family home and I was being spied…The younger brother called and asked me to come out to the balcony. My darling used the camera to spy on me from the hill. Hehe!

After they came back, the whole family prepared to go out again for dinner. It was really a day well spent when you spent it with family. Hehe!

Digital SLR and its equipment are always expensive. However I guess they are good investment as a hobby if you are a bit loaded and have the interest of photography. That’s exactly what my darling is into and so do many of our friends, I found out.

His Sony DSLR Alpha 200 and its added accessories…newly added lens which weighs a tonne (okay, I’m just exaggerating…hehe).

He bought the new lens and other accessories during the Sony Maybank Card promotion where he used his card reward point to exchange Sony voucher. And on top of that, buying any accessories for Sony Alpha that day entitled 20% discount just for Sony Maybank card holder.

With his new toys, he has started again to capture nice photos. For starter, take a look at our pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) collection below. Just click the photo to see more…

Do you still remember Blacky? Now she is 5 months old and extremely naughty. She has just gobbled down a gold fish from my father-in-law’s aquarium today. Sigh!

The long awaited 4 days holiday began with waking up at 7:30 a.m. today. Spent the early morning enjoying my sofa day. In addition, I’m enjoying using my new Vaio for the first time today, blogging away. Hehe! Isn’t it so blissful on a holiday morning. The rain is still pouring and hopefully it will stop before lunch time. Hope it won’t rain in the evening as we have a wedding dinner to attend. Luckily it’s quite nearby, the first ever. Never had wedding dinner venue that is nearby our home. Can arrive in less than 15 minutes. Hehe!

Wishing all Happy Holiday and have a safe journey if you are travelling.

On a wonderful day today, our home sweet home is celebrating its second year. Yes, we have officially stayed here for 2 years. After just 2 years, my feeling towards my home is still the same. I still love the place. I love my neighborhood. The scenery is still the same. Our home is still surrounded by lush greenery. I still hear birds chirping early in the morning on weekends. It’s so peaceful and quiet. If only we can minus all the children playing outside our balcony. Since we are on the ground floor, that just can’t be avoided. Sigh! Regardless, I still love my home sweet home. Of course, more have changed over the years. From less furniture to more stuff in the house. More gadgets of course. Even though more cleaning and fixing to do, both of us still feel bliss at home. Who doesn’t, right? No place likes home. And after 2 years, my darling still cannot remember the right switches in our master room, always switch on the wrong one for the fan and lights. Hahaha! I don’t know how many years he needs to get it right. Hehe! Wait and see!

To celebrate our second anniversary for our home, there’s a good news today. My application for reducing home loan interest has been approved today. Our original home loan was on fixed interest rate @ 6.39% p.a. Since the BLR has reduced this year, I have asked for lower rate and they are giving me a new revised rate @ 5.75% p.a. I know it’s still quite high but it’s better than nothing for us. By that, I hope our financial planning will be better. Hehe!

This weekend is long holiday weekend. I’m truly looking forward as I will be spending most of my time on my lovely sofa. With my new Vaio, of course. Haha!  Can’t wait…

Our home’s first year

Yes, my second love has finally arrived. Today.

I can’t believe the good news. It was just this morning that I called to Sony Customer Center to inquire about my order status, yet the person couldn’t tell me exactly when my order would arrive because he said he couldn’t see the status. I was quite frustrated at the moment, however, he promised to check for me and return my call later. Not even 10 minutes after I put down the phone, my mobile rang. I got call from the courier service, checking with me the delivery address. I believe this couldn’t be the result of my earlier call. It’s just so coincident that my delivery is scheduled for today and yet the people in Sony Customer Center didn’t know. Something is definitely wrong with their business process. Not efficient enough. I’m not that satisfied with their service, to be honest but that’s not the point of today post.

Anyway back to my original story, I’m extremely excited waiting for the arrival. Even told my receptionist to call me when delivery arrives. I would need to sign it myself as the delivery is only for first party, which means no one can accept on behalf of me. So, I’m extremely alert the whole morning, waiting patiently. When the courier guy arrived, I was already at the reception area. Hehe! I have good instinct. Haha! I was quite shocked that the box is quite big for the size of the notebook. It’s very hard for me to hide it or trying to be discreet about my purchase. Once I was at my cubicle, I quickly unwrapped everything and hide under the table first. Haha! Trying not to show off my latest gadget, okay? Again I waited patiently for lunch time when I could take it out and charge it for the first time and take some photos.

See how big is the box…can fit a monitor…

This is all it contains other than some protectors…

Tada…here’s my baby love…

Let show off a bit here…

It’s really quite small…truly a ‘notebook’…

Here are the freebies I got for this pre-order…a Targus optical mouse and cases from theboomwave.com.

My darling is also very excited to see my new love. He said he can’t wait to bring it to his office. Then I reminded him about ‘yellow-tape’. Haha! Okay la, I let you have limited access to my new love. Your job is to configure it to my satisfaction, my darling. Hehe! Good enough, right?

all the temptation…pleaseeeee….

I’m so tempted with a lot of things these past few weeks. First, there’s this TVB drama that has my favorite actor. I just couldn’t resist watching all and finally did today. I love this drama You Are Hired so much.

Then I finished Julia Quinn’s latest book ‘What happens in London’ just right after my second midterm last week. It’s another good book by Julia. As always Julia has cute storyline and funny conversation. I missed her books and wish her new book will come soon.

Then I have another 2 TVB dramas in my harddisk. Tempting me to watch them. And I failed the test. I gave in to temptation. I got carried away with laughing and lazing around on bed watching them. Sigh!

I wish I’m stronger. Please go away all you temptation…

I hate it when we have to argue. I hate cold wars. And I could never last long in any cold war, regardless who is at fault. I’m not sure is it me who was wrong this morning although I knew I was at fault last night. I don’t even know what’s wrong this morning. My darling’s face looked like he got up on the wrong side of the bed. I tried to be nice but his sour black face remained so I had no choice to remain silent. I really hate situation such as this but sometimes you just could not avoid it in any relationship.

I tried to ask him what’s wrong. He just kept on telling “Nothing”. Then he said his hand is in pain. Since last night. Is it possible that all this bad mood is due to his hand. Or is it me? Or is it his work? I don’t know. I guess he felt guilty after awhile of silence in the car this morning that he tried to make me smile. His sweet face sometimes can melt anyone’s heart especially when he smiles. I can never hold grudges over him for long. However, I still wonder why he’s angry and what I did wrong.

We still haven’t chatted as we used to be in the morning. But I saw this…

morning lo po

That makes me smile again…

*Updated on 12p.m.

I just saw his changed status…

happytohaveu

Haha! I wonder what’s he thinking or trying to say…

It’s finally confirmed. I have found my second love…

I’m so in love right now…

I can’t wait to hold you…to love you…to take care of you…my new love…
