It’s getting scary. Internet connection nowadays is slow. No one can explain why. It’s not totally inaccessible, only certain sites are slow or cannot be found. It really puzzled me until I hear from my counterpart in Thailand who told me that he heard that Thailand government is filtering internet emails and usage. That explains why emails were delayed and unreachable. This issue was really killing me in the office. Try to explain the effect of filtering based on our assumption. I bet no one can really tell us why and what exactly happen in the Internet.
Then I heard from my darling the latest news from China. China government is also filtering their Internet usage. Could this be the reason why some sites are slow to load? Could those sites’ traffics go through China network? How will I know but making assumption that all these filtering will only slow down the entire network in the world. Sigh! Why make our life so difficult? Why they want to control what goes in and out of their network. The Internet is so big. How much you can control? They think they are in control but in fact they are breaking down the network.
After reading this news from our PM in Malaysia Today, I bet he will want to start controlling the Internet too. Blaming the bloggers and the flow of information will not help one bit. You cannot control the world of information without jeopardising the entire network. When they think they are in control, in actual fact, they are losing the control of everything. Eventually making our life difficult. Sigh!
